ASI dies as pistol goes off accidentally in Fatehgarh Churhian
An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted at the Kala Afghana police station in Fatehgarh Churhian in Batala was killed when a bullet hit him on his head while he was cleaning his pistol in a room of the police station today.

The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar. According to a police official, the incident took place when the ASI was cleaning his weapons in the room. The pistol went off accidentally and he died on the spot.

The parents of the deceased were immediately informed about the incident.
