ASI shoots wife, then self with service revolver after domestic fight in Jalandhar
An argument between a man and his wife took an ugly turn as the man shot his wife and then himself in Jalandhar on Tuesday morning. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) shot his wife and then himself with his service revolver. ASI identified as Gurbaksh Singh was posted in Punjab Armed Police in Jalandhar. He was residing in Rama Mandi area in Jalandhar.

The incident took place at around 7:30 am when ASI’s wife Vandana was going towards the washroom. The ASI shot on his wife’s head before shooting himself.

The media reports said that the couple had a heated argument a week ago. After that, the couple was quite disturbed.

The couple is survived by a son, Prabhjot Singh (17) and daughter, Rupinder Kaur (19). According to media reports, the children are still in a state of shock. They are not in a condition to say anything about the incident.
Investigations are underway. More details of the incident are awaited.
