Cancer-stricken beggar donates Rs 5,000 for Kerala flood relief. Here's his story A cancer-stricken beggar collected Rs 5,000 in cash and went to the collector's office in feeble physical condition, barely being able to walk, to donate the collected amount on Saturday. The man was diagnosed with stomach cancer three months ago and the money he donated could have been spent for his treatment. The 71-year-old man was identified as Khimji Prajapati. Prajapati said, "I was devastated on hearing about the plight of people in flood-ravaged Kerala. Nothing gives me more happiness than giving something to the needy." He further added that he was happy that even Gujarat government gave a helping hand of Rs 10 crore. Harshad Vohra, additional resident collector, Mehsana told reports, "Such a gesture on part of a cancer-affected beggar has presented a unique love, sacrifice and devotion for the society." -PTC News
