Champions Trophy Hockey 2018: Argentina held to 1-1 draw by Belgium

Olympic champions Argentina dropped a point as it was held to 1-1 draw by Olympic runners-up Belgium in the 37th and farewell edition of Champions Trophy Hockey Tournament at Breda in the Netherlands on Tuesday. Playing its third game, Argentina has taken its total points tally to four with a win, a draw and a defeat so far while Belgium has only two points from three games and are yet to record a win here. Champions Trophy Hockey 2018: Argentina held to 1-1 draw by Belgium Helped by penalty corner specialist Gonzalo Peillat, Argentina took the lead in the first quarter from a penalty corner. Peillat's shot found the target. Midway in the second half, Belgium managed to pull one back through a brilliant field goal scored by Amaury Keusters in the 37th minute. Once level, the pace of the game picked up as both sides went all out for the elusive match winner. Argentina did force a penalty corner in the 55th minute but low flick by Pellet was deflected out. India plays World champions Australia tomorrow. India head the table with six points from two games while Australia is placed at number two with four points from two games
