Chandigarh: Man killed as speeding Porche car hit scooters in Sector 4
PTC News Desk: In a tragic accident a man was killed and two women were injured after a speeding Porche car hit collided with two scooters near a petrol pump in Sector 4 on Monday night.
The horrific accident unfolded after the luxury car coming from opposite direction at an excessive speed collided two women riding on activa before hitting another man on activa ahead. The car was being driven at a high speed and one of the scooters was dragged to some distance before the vehicle crashed into an electricity pole, said the police.
The deceased has been identified a Ankit, resident of Nayagaon died on the spot owing to severe injuries, whereas injured women have been identified as Soni and Gurleen were rushed to PGI after sustaining severe head injuries.
Soon after the accident police reached the spot and arrested Porche driver and impounded the vehicle. A case has been registered under sections related to reckless driving, negligence, and road safety violations.
Police officials have launched investigation to ascertain exact cause of the fatal crash.
