Chandigarh : 6,210 fined for drunk driving this year   The drunken driving offense has witnessed a steep rise this year with 6,210 challans have been issued by the UT traffic police till date. On the second number, around 171 challans were issued in sector 31 area. Last year as many as 6,663 were caught driving under the influence of liquor by the UT traffic police. Cops are also laying mobile nakas in the city to catch those violators who change their location frequently”.
