'Bound to abide by whatever decision they took', says Charanjit Singh Chadha
Charanjit Singh Chadha, Chief Khalsa Dewan (CKD) ex-president appeared before the five high priests at the Akal Takht Sahib Amritsar on Tuesday.
Chadha submitted his clarification before the high priests and said that he is bound to abide by whatever decision they took.
Charanjit Singh Chadha presented before the Akal Takht Sahib on Tuesday as he resigns from the Presidency of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Jathedar of Akal Takht Gurbachan Singh had directed the Chief Khalsa Diwan Charanjit Singh Chadha to step down from the post of president of the organization before he appears before Takht on January 23.
The SGPC had earlier asked the Akal Takht to take stern action against former Chief Khalsa Diwan head Charanjit Singh Chadha whose sleaze video clipping went viral recently and shocked the Panthic and social circles.
Gurbachan Singh said as per the crime Chadha committed, it would be better if he first resigns before appearing in front of Takht. Gurbachan also said if Chadha does not abide by the Takht directions, strict action will be taken against him.
Chadha and his son Inderpreet Singh Chadha were booked for sexual harassment and criminal intimidation on the complaint of the female principal. Disturbed by the allegations, Inderpreet committed suicide on January 3.
