Former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Saturday slammed the Central government for its new attempt to mislead young minds. Citing Republic Day violence, the Class 10 question paper called protesting farmers "violent maniacs who act under external instigation." Sharing the Class 10 question paper in which protesting farmers have been called violent maniacs, Harsimrat Kaur Badal wrote: "Shocking to what extent govts can go to mislead young minds! If being called anti-national, Naxal, etc wasn’t enough now a class X exam paper calls protesting farmers "violent maniacs who act under external instigation." How many more insults will be heaped on our farmers?" The question asked students to "Write a letter to the editor of a daily newspaper in your city, condemning such terrible, violent acts of miscreants who fail to realise that country comes before personal needs and gains. Destroying public property, disgracing the national flag, and attacking police personnel, are a few of the various illegal offenses committed, that can never be justified for any reason whatsoever.
