CM Announces Compensation For Victims Of Moga-Baghapurana Road Mishap
Chandigarh, Nov. 26: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today announced Rs. 1 lakh ex-gratia each for the kin of those killed in the road mishap took place on Baghapurana-Bhagta Bhai Ka Road in Moga district on Saturday.
Expressing shock and anguish over the accident in which five people were killed and six others injured, when the jeep they were traveling in rammed into a tree, the Chief Minister directed the district authorities to ensure free medical treatment for the injured.
A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the Chief Minister also directed the Civil and Police administration of Moga to extend all possible help to the family members of the victims.
Captain Amarinder Singh shared his heartfelt sympathies with the members of bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the accident.
