CNG price up by Rs 2.5 in Delhi for 2nd day in row; check new rates
New Delhi, April 7: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi on Thursday by Rs 2.5 per kilogram. With the latest hike, the total increase reached Rs 9.10 in six days. Now, CNG will cost Rs 69.11 per kg in Delhi with effect from April 7. Meanwhile in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, people have to shell out Rs 71.67 per Kg for CNG. After the government raised input natural gas prices to record levels on Wednesday, CNG prices in Delhi, Mumbai, and Gujarat skyrocketed. The overall retail cost of CNG had increased by Rs 9.10 per kilogramme in less than a week. Revised CNG rates: In NCT of Delhi, CNG prices have reached Rs. 69.11, while in Noida, Greater Noida & Ghaziabad, the cost of CNG is Rs 71.67. The cost of CNG in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut & Shamli is Rs 76.34, Rs 77.44 in Gurugram, Rs 79.57 in Rewari and Rs 77.77 in Karnal and Kaithal. In Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur the price of CNG reached Rs 80.90 on Thursday, whereas in Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand the cost is Rs.79.38. Also Read | JEE Main 2022 postponed for both sessions; check new dates Meanwhile, petrol and diesel prices were increased again by 80 paise a litre each on Wednesday, taking the total hike to Rs 10 per litre in 16 days. According to a price notification from state fuel retailers, petrol in Delhi will now cost 105.41 per litre, up from 104.61 Tuesday and diesel rates will go up from 95.87 per litre to 96.677. In Mumbai, the fuel prices climbed by 85 paise; petrol price was hiked by 84 paise at Rs 120.51 and diesel prices per litre went up by 84 paise at Rs 104.77. Fuel prices have been hiked across the country and vary from state to state depending upon the incidence of local taxation.
