Congress govt playing with fire by supporting supporters of anti national elements: SAD The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said the Congress party was playing with fire and repeating the mistakes made by former PM Indira Gandhi by supporting the dharna led by jathedars propped up by it at Bargari in Faridkot, saying now there was conclusive proof that the organizers were hand in glove with anti-national elements who were working to destabilize the country as part of the Operation Express operation of Pakistan’s ISI agency. In a statement here, former minister Bikram Singh Majithia said keeping in light the media expose on Referendum 2020 and its strings with Congress elements at Bargari, there should be an immediate inquiry into all cases of sacrilege of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court. He said simultaneously the CBI should inquire into the foreign funding being received by Congress agents, especially from former terrorists who are now controlled by Pakistan’s ISI agency. Mr Majtihia said it was high time that the Congress party realized that its self-orchestrated drama could go out of hand because it was being funded by the same people which were supporting Referendum 2020. “Latest disclosures have already proved that Referendum 2020 is being funded by Pakistan’s ISI agency and has been codenamed Operation Express. It has also been proved that money is being funneled into this operation from Germany by prominent radical elements. Mr Majithia said keeping in view these facts, including the role of the Congress party in the anti-India movement initiated by Pakistan, it was clear that the Justice (retd) Ranjit Singh Commission was also playing into the hands of anti-national forces by becoming the eyes and ears of Congress Jathedars. “It has become amply clear that far from giving justice, the Ranjit Singh Commission has even failed to react to the funding being received from anti-national elements. All this proves that the defamation of the SAD is the prime motive of the Ranjit Singh Commission and not probe into sacrileges. That is why the Ranjit Commission prepared its report in the Congress Bhawan in league with Congress Jathedars”, he added. The Akali leader said if things were allowed to continue like this there was real danger of destabilization of Punjab. He said communal peace and harmony was also in danger because separatist elements were first trying to destroy the social fabric before moving to realize their fissiparous ambitions”. Asking the Congress government to get its house in order before there was complete chaos, Mr Majithia said the government should not resort to underhand means to defame the previous SAD-BJP government just to meet its petty political ends. He said such tactics, including using a Commission to come out with politically motivated findings, had put a question mark on the credibility of the government. Mr Majithia said the Congress had also proved that it cannot be trusted to expose the real culprits behind the inhuman and reprehensible sacrileges when all it is interested in is playing politics on this sensitive issue. “ It does not seem to have learnt a lesson from the attack on Shri Darbar Sahib and genocide of Sikhs in 1984 which left deep scars in the minds of the Sikh community. Even now it is trying to divide the Sikh community by challenging the directives of Shri Akal Takth Sahib by appointing Congress supported Jathedars”he added. -PTC NEWS
