The Karnataka Legislative Council on Tuesday adjourned sine die following the forceful removal of Chairman of the Legislative Council from the Chair by the Congress MLCs. The incident took place after BJP and JDS allegedly made the Chairman sit in the Chair illegally. However, Lehar Singh Siroya, BJP MLC, said that "Few Congress MLCs behaved like goons by forcibly removed Vice-Chairman of Karnataka Legislative council from the chair and misbehaving with him." As per the report, the Congress had issued a whip to the members of the council while all MLCs were asked to be present in the house. The party sought to vote against the cow slaughter bill.
