Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 2376; death toll 47; recovered 2029

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2376 after 34 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Wednesday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 47 after a new death was reported from Jalandhar. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Mohali and Pathankot reported 7 new cases of coronavirus each while two new cases were reported each from Patiala, Muktsar and Amritsar. Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Faridkot and Hoshiarpur reported 3 new cases each. SBS Nagar and Bathinda reported one new case each. A total of 12 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 12, 3 were from Amritsar, 4 from Hoshiarpur, 4 from Pathankot and 1 from Barnala. Currently, Amritsar is on the top of the tally with 390 cases of coronavirus followed by Jalandhar at 258, Ludhiana at 200, and Tarn Taran at 157. Gurdaspur has 144 cases of coronavirus while Hoshiarpur has 133 cases. Patiala has reported 125 cases of COVID-19. Coronavirus tally of Mohali has increased to 120 while SBS Nagar tally has spiked to 105. Large number of people coming for Carona test due to awareness The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur has increased to 102 while Pathankot has reported 76 cases. Ropar has 70 cases while Muktsar tally has increased to 68. Faridkot graph stands at 66, Moga and Fatehgarh Sahib at 64. Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases in Kapurthala has increased to 38. 24 cases of coronavirus cases have been reported from Barnala so far.
