Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 2263; death toll 45; recovered 1987

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 2263 after 30 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Sunday evening. The death toll in the state stands has increased to 45 after 1 new death was reported from Pathankot. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Amritsar reported 3 new cases of coronavirus while Ludhiana reported 9 new cases. Likewise, four new cases were reported each from Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar. One new case was reported each from Moga and Barnala. Ropar reported 8 new cases of coronavirus. A total of 20 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 20, 4 each are from Amritsar and Ludhiana, 5 from Hoshiarpur, 3 from Pathankot and 1 each from Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, Patiala and Mohali. Gurdaspur has 137 cases of coronavirus while Patiala has reported 118 cases. SBS Nagar tally has increased to 102 while Mohali's tally ha increased to 111. Hoshiarpur tally has spiked to 120. The number of coronavirus cases in Sangrur has increased to 96 while Muktsar stands at 66. Faridkot and Moga have reported 62 cases each while a total of 70 cases have been reported from Ropar, 58 from Fatehgarh Sahib. Also Read | Good news! Mansa has recorded 32 cases while the total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 60 in Pathankot.
