First coronavirus patient in Chandigarh still in hospital, news of her release FAKE

Amid coronavirus outbreak, there have been several rumour-mongers creating panic. One such rumour has erupted in Chandigarh. It has come to the notice that a message is being circulated on social media, wherein it is claimed that the first tested positive patient for coronavirus in Chandigarh has been discharged from the GMCH-32. Meanwhile, the Chandigarh Administration has clarified that the above message is FAKE and the patient is admitted to an isolation ward at GMCH-32. For now, the health condition of the patient is absolutely fine. Likewise, the administration has advised not to circulate such content from unverified sources. Chandigarh has reported 7 confirmed cases of coronavirus so far.

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator VP Singh Badnore on Tuesday reviewed the situation in Chandigarh during a meeting through a video conferencing with all the officers of the Tricity. He also reviewed the situation during the curfew period amid coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, a provision for Home delivery of medicines has also been ensured.
