Coronavirus: Daily new cases of COVID-19 in Punjab continue to remain below 5,000
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Punjab have fallen below 5,000 as the state on Tuesday recorded 4,798 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,48,231.
Jalandhar reported 536 new cases of COVID-19 while Ludhiana recorded 461, SAS Nagar 376, Amritsar 352, Bathinda 344, Fazilka 334, Muktsar 300, Patiala 275, Pathankot 243, and Gurdaspur 233.

Likewise, Hoshiarpur recorded 229 new cases while Mansa reported 196, Faridkot 140, FG Sahib 132, Sangrur 132, Ferozepur 114, Kapurthala 104, Barnala 81, Tarn Taran 73, Ropar 58, Moga 50, and SBS Nagar 35.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 4,81,462 after the state added 6,451 new recoveries in 24 hours, the Health Department stated while giving coronavirus updates about Punjab.
Amritsar recorded 385 new cases, Barnala reported 90, Bathinda 633, Faridkot 170, Fazilka 435, Ferozpur 119, FG Sahib 128, Gurdaspur 159, Hoshiarpur 358, Jalandhar 591, Kapurthala 186, Ludhiana 1113, Mansa 270, Moga 99, Muktsar 313, Pathankot 285, Patiala 123, Ropar 136, Sangrur 221, SAS Nagar 536, SBS Nagar 90, and Tarn Taran 11.
The death toll in Punjab due to COVID-19 has increased to 13,642 after 176 fresh deaths were recorded in 24 hours.
Among new deaths, Amritsar recorded 16 new fatalities, while Barnala reported 4, Bathinda 14, Faridkot 6, FG Sahib 4, Fazilka 7, Ferozpur 8, Gurdaspur 5, Hoshiarpur 3, Jalandhar 12, Kapurthala 7, Ludhiana 19, Mansa 6, Moga 5, SAS Nagar 9, Muktsar 9, Pathankot 4, Patiala 13, Ropar 2, Sangrur 17, SBS Nagar 3, and Tarn Taran 3.
