Bathinda reports 33 positive cases of coronavirus in a single day

The total number of coronavirus cases in Bathinda has increased to 35 after the district reported 33 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday night. The district has witnessed a steep hike in Covid-19 patients. Meanwhile, a 28-year-old suspected coronavirus patient from Maur Khurd passed away, a report said. He had returned from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. He was undergoing treatment at the Faridkot Medical College. His test report is yet to come. In the meanwhile, his family members have claimed that if his report comes positive, they will not take his body to their home. Bathinda has also become a hotspot and has been designated as a red zone. This has led to panic amongst the residents. Meanwhile, the residents are raising questions on the poor management of the state government in bringing back the pilgrims from Sri Nanded Sahib.
