Coronavirus cases in Punjab rise to 8178; death toll 204; recovered 5586

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 8,178 after 357 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the last 24 hours, as of Monday evening. The death toll in the state has increased to 204 after 6 new deaths were reported from the state. Amritsar reported 2 new deaths taking the district's toll to 55 while Jalandhar reported 3 deaths taking the toll to 28. Sangrur also reported the new COVID death. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department, Ludhiana reported 65 new cases of coronavirus while 53 new cases were reported from Jalandhar. Amritsar reported 25 new cases while Patiala reported 88 new cases. Mohali reported 26 new cases, Fatehgarh Sahib reported 20 cases. SBS Nagar reported 11 new cases while 9 new cases were reported from Bathinda and Pathankot each. Ferozepur reported 8 new cases, Muktsar 7, Hoshiarpur 5, Ropar 4, Kapurthala 3, Barnala 2 and Gurdaspur 1. Coronavirus Punjab Cases Death A total of 194 patients were declared cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Of 194, 88 were from Jalandhar, 72 from Amritsar, 12 from tarn Taran, 8 from Mohali, 7 from Faridkot, 2 each from Pathankot and Fatehgarh Sahib and 1 from Kapurthala. Coronavirus Punjab Cases Death Currently, Ludhiana is on the top of the tally with 1441 cases of coronavirus followed by Jalandhar at 1276, Amritsar at 1087, and Sangrur at 647. Patiala has reported 672 cases of coronavirus while Mohali has reported 417 cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Coronavirus tally of Tarn Taran has increased to 217 while the number of coronavirus cases in Hoshiarpur has spiked to 201. The coronavirus tally in SBS Nagar stands at 224, Muktsar at 153, Fatehgarh Sahib at 166, Moga at 151, Ropar at 132, Faridkot at 157, Kapurthala at 131, Ferozepur at 165, Bathinda at 150 and Fazilka at 108.
