With 1,513 fresh +ve cases, Punjab's COVID tally rises to 46,090

The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 46,090 after 1,513 new cases of COVID-19 were reported from the state as of Wednesday evening. According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health Department on Wednesday evening, the death toll in the state has increased to 1,219 after 41 new deaths were reported from the state.

Among new deaths, Barnala reported 2, Bathinda 1, Gurdaspur 3, Hoshiarpur 4, Jalandhar 1, Kapurthala 4, Ludhiana 12, Mansa 2, Moga 1, SAS Nagar 1, Muktsar 2, Pathankot 1, Patiala 5, and Sangrur 2.

The total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 30,231 after 1086 COVID patients were declared cured and recovered as of Wednesday evening.

Among the new recoveries, Ludhiana recorded 243 new recoveries, Jalandhar recorded 88, Patiala 169, Amritsar 37, Sangrur 72, Bathinda 168, Gurdaspur 46, Pathankot 13, Barnala 13, Fatehgarh Sahib 15, Kapurthala 16, Faridkot 8, Tarn Taran 15, Ropar 53, Fazilka 48, SBS Nagar 30, and Muktsar 52.

Meanwhile, there are a total of 14,640 active cases of coronavirus in the state.

Of new cases, Ludhiana reported 472 cases, Jalandhar reported 147, Patiala reported 237, Amritsar 73, SAS Nagar 54, Sangrur 10, Bathinda 21, Gurdaspur 131, Ferozepur 15, Moga 24, Hoshiarpur 83, Pathankot 44, Barnala 29, Fatehgarh Sahib 17, Kapurthala 69, Faridkot 1, Tarn Taran 28, Ropar 4, Fazilka 1, SBS Nagar 20, Muktsar 14, and Mansa 19.
