Coronavirus: Punjab witnesses decline in daily COVID-19 cases and deaths
Coronavirus Punjab Updates: The daily new cases of coronavirus in Punjab continue to maintain a declining trend as the state on Friday recorded 2,009 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 5,76,119.
Likewise, Punjab witnessed a decline in fresh Covid deaths as the state recorded 71 deaths in 24 hours.

Amritsar recorded 4 new deaths while Barnala reported 1, Bathinda 8, Faridkot 2, Fazilka 1, Ferozepur 3, Gurdaspur 4, Hoshiarpur 1, Jalandhar 5, Kapurthala 2, Ludhiana 7, Moga 4, SAS Nagar 2, Muktsar 3, Pathankot 1, Patiala 10, Ropar 2, Sangrur 9, SBS Nagar 1, and Tarn Taran 1.

Among new cases, Ludhiana added 200 new infections while Jalandhar recorded 168, Kapurthala 156, Bathinda 145, Amritsar 144, Ferozepur 142, Patiala 131, Fazilka 110, Faridkot 104, Hoshiarpur 93, Sangrur 93, and Gurdaspur 87.
SAS Nagar, once the worst-affected district, reported 70 new cases while Pathankot reported 64, Mansa 57, Muktsar 53, Ropar 44, FG Sahib 35, Tarn Taran 34, Moga 28, Barnala 26, and SBS Nagar 25.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the state has increased to 5,34,915 after 4,314 new recoveries were reported in 24 hours, the Health Department stated while giving coronavirus updates about Punjab.
Amritsar recorded 345 new recoveries while Barnala added 45, Bathinda 353, Faridkot 152, Fazilka 218, Ferozepur 123, Fatehgarh Sahib 50, Gurdaspur 134, Hoshiarpur 401, Jalandhar 375, Kapurthala 97, Ludhiana 453, Mansa 261, Muktsar 294, Pathankot 139, Patiala 160, Ropar 76, Sangrur 177, SAS Nagar 377, SBS Nagar 39, and Tarn Taran 45.
