Six more people have tested positive for coronavirus from Rajpura town in Patiala district on Friday, the officials said. Rajpura has become a major cause for concern for the authorities as the coronavirus tally in that area alone now stands at 36. Meanwhile, it is yet to find out whether these patients are contacts of old positive cases, or if they are new cases. As per the report, the authorities have blamed on hookah parties, for the spike in cases in the area, which were being held in there despite curfew orders. Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in the district has increased to 55, the third-highest in the state after Mohali (63) and Jalandhar (63). Earlier in the day, BDPO, Doraha, who is the daughter of the corona positive District Mandi Officer, Ludhiana, tested positive for the epidemic. While giving this information, KBS Sidhu, the Special Chief Secretary, Punjab, said that she will be admitted to Civil Hospital in Ludhiana. KBS Sidhu clarified that "He had tested negative and the media had put out a wrong report." He added that "Yes, he was in quarantine and he broke his quarantine 3 days early.
