New Delhi, January 26: India logged 2,85,914 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, stated the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare while giving a coronavirus update on Wednesday.
With the active cases at 5.55 percent, the country's active caseload stands at 22,23,018. As per the health bulletin, the daily positivity rate is 16.16 percent while the weekly positivity rate is 17.33 percent.
The recovery rate is currently at 93.23 percent with 2,99,073 recoveries in the last 24 hours while the cumulative recovery stands at 3,73,70,971.
As many as 72.05 crore Covid-19 tests have been conducted so far while 17,69,745 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, stated the official release from the Ministry on coronavirus update about India.
Under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive, 163.58 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far.
Delhi on Tuesday reported 6,028 new cases during the last 24 hours with a positivity rate declining to 10.55 percent. As per a bulletin provided by the health department of the Delhi government on Tuesday, a total of 57,132 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. With this, the total count of Covid-19 cases in the national capital has gone up to 18,03,499.
During the last 24 hours, 9,127 people recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries in the state to 17,35,808.
