Coronavirus update: Punjab's COVID-19 tally rises to 1,40,605

Coronavirus update: The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab has increased to 1,40,605 after 738 new COVID-19 cases were reported from the state in the last 24 hours, as of Friday evening.

According to the media bulletin issued by the Punjab Health department giving coronavirus update, the death toll in the state has increased to 4,428 after 17 new deaths were reported from the state.

Amritsar reported 1 new death while Barnala reported 2, Fazilka 1, Jalandhar 3, Kapurthala 1, Ludhiana 2, Muktsar 1, Patiala 5, and Ropar 1.

The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the state has increased to 1,30,406 after 388 new recoveries were reported from the state.

Ludhiana reported 35 new recoveries while Jalandhar reported 58, Patiala 55, SAS Nagar 27, Amritsar 10, Gurdaspur 4, Bathinda 16, Hoshiarpur 17, Pathankot 21, Sangrur 17, Kapurthala 24, Faridkot 15, Muktsar 4, Fazilka 37, Moga 3, Ropar 10, FG Sahib 2, Barnala 3, SBS Nagar 18, and Mansa 12.

Among the new coronavirus cases in Punjab, Ludhiana recorded 85 new cases while Jalandhar reported 113, Patiala 73, SAS Nagar 124, Amritsar 40, Gurdaspur 15, Bathinda 35, and Hoshiarpur 28.

Likewise, Ferozepur reported 2 new cases, Pathankot 25, Sangrur 8, Kapurthala 9, Faridkot 24, Muktsar 80, Fazilka 24, Moga 4, Ropar 9, FG Sahib 5, Barnala 5, Tarn Taran 2, SBS Nagar 12 and Mansa 16.
