COVID-19 cases likely to rise in Delhi: Health Minister Satyendar Jain
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Thursday said that coronavirus cases in the national capital are likely to see a surge over the next few days. The Health Minister said "Delhi reported 4,473 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. The total tests conducted were 62,553 while the positivity rate was 7.15 percent on Wednesday. Also Read | Coronavirus vaccine could be ready in a month: Donald Trump "The death rate in the national capital is at 0.7 percent from the last 10 days while the bed availability here is 14,521 out of which 50 percent are occupied," Satyendar Jain said. Talking about the rise in active cases, the Delhi Health Minister said that "We have increased COVID-19 testing 4 times due to which numbers are likely to rise in Delhi, for 10-15 days.
