Unlock 4: Delhi Metro's Blue and Pink lines resume its services after 171 days

The Blue and Pink lines of Delhi Metro have resumed its operations on Wednesday after remaining closed for almost 171 days in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. On Monday, the Yellow line of Delhi Metro resumed its services with limited operations and measures in place to arrest the spread of coronavirus. The DMRC said in a statement that "DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) will be running 66 trains on Blue Line performing around 478 train trips during morning and evening hours on September 9-10." According to DMRC, around 27 trains will be put into service over the next two days with approximately 228 trips. These include a trip from Majlis Park to Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 and 13 trains with nearly 291 trips from Trilok Puri-Sanjay Lake to Shiv Vihar sections of the Pink line. The frequency will be increased in the coming days. Unlock 4: Metro Services Resume in India Including Delhi, Noida With the resumption of Blue and Pink lines, 9 of the total 28 interchanges Metro Stations will be functional. These include - Rajouri Garden (Blue Line and Pink Like); INA Delhi Haat (Yellow and Pink Line); Mayur Vihar Phase I (Blue Line and Pink Line); Rajiv Chowk (Blue Line and Yellow Line); Anand Vihar ISBT (Blue Line and Pink Line) and Sikanderpur (Yellow Line and Rapid Metro). Recently, the Union Home Ministry gave a go-ahead to the DMRC to resume its services and issued guidelines for the same. -PTC News
