US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he will be signing an executive order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Donald Trump took to Twitter and made the announcement. He did not offer any specifics, such as the time frame or the scope of who would be affected. "In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!" Trump said in a tweet. https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1252418369170501639?s=20 It is the latest measure taken by the US President and his administration to restrict the US border amid coronavirus pandemic. Donald Trump has ordered broad travel restrictions on China, Europe, Canada and Mexico to combat the coronavirus spread. The State Department had, last month, temporarily suspended the routine visa services at embassies and consulates. Meanwhile, US Citizenship and Immigration Services have already suspended the routine in-person services. However, it is still offering some emergency services.
