‘Dhurandhar’ actor arrested for alleged sexual assault of domestic help over 10 years
PTC Web Desk: Actor Nadeem Khan, who was recently seen in the blockbuster film 'Dhurandhar', has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his domestic help for nearly a decade under the false promise of marriage, police officials said on Monday.
The arrest was made on January 22 following a complaint filed by a 41-year-old woman. Khan is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
According to the complaint, the woman had been working as a domestic help for several actors and came in contact with Khan during the course of her work. The two allegedly developed a close relationship, during which Khan is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting her on the pretext of marriage.
The woman claimed that the alleged assaults took place at her residence in Malvani as well as at Khan’s home in Versova, located in Mumbai’s western suburbs, over a span of around 10 years. When Khan allegedly refused to marry her, she approached the police and lodged a formal complaint.
Since the first alleged incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Malvani police station and the complainant also resides in that area, the Versova police have transferred the case to Malvani police through a zero FIR, an official said.
Nadeem Khan was last seen sharing screen space with Ranveer Singh in Dhurandhar.
