Internet calls John Cena 'Jay Sinha' as he posts a pic of tricolour ahead of Chandrayaan 3 landing
Hollywood actor and WWE superstar John Cena posted an image of the tricolour on his Instagram on Wednesday ahead of Chandrayaan 3 landing.
While fans are ecstatic with John's salute to India, many are questioning if it's a tribute to the country's Chandrayaan-3 mission, which is set to land on the moon on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, John turned to Instagram and shared a photo of the Indian National Flag against a white background. Because the image was not accompanied by a title or explanation, internet users were left to their own imagination.
Many internet users assumed John's message was in honour of India's Chandrayaan 3 mission. A user wrote, “Chandrayaan 3 will land safely (red heart emoji).” Another user wrote in the comments, “That’s for Chandrayaan 3 Landing today! (Fire emojis)."
WWE India's official Instagram account also commented, implying another reason why John may have posted an image of the tricolour. The comment stated, “#WWESuperstarSpectacle in Hyderabad, @johncena! (red heart emoji).”
John Cena is set to participate at the WWE Superstar Spectacle event in Hyderabad on September 8, marking his 17-year return to India.
Many internet users associated John with India. A few comments playfully renamed him "John Sinha." "Bro just summoned Indians all over the world," another user said.
