The much-loved on-screen pair is said to be tying the knot on February 26, with industry circles abuzz about a grand destination wedding in Udaipur.
While neither actor has made an official announcement about the wedding venue, reports suggest that the ceremony will be an intimate affair attended by close friends and family. A wedding reception, however, is scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on March 3, beginning at 7 pm.
An invite for the Hyderabad reception, currently circulating in media circles, speaks about the couple’s shared journey and their desire to celebrate the occasion with those who have been part of it. The invitation, sent on behalf of Vijay Deverakonda, confirms the reception details but keeps other aspects of the celebrations under wraps.
The relationship between Vijay and Rashmika has long been a subject of discussion among fans. The duo first shared screen space in Geetha Govindam, a blockbuster that turned them into one of Telugu cinema’s most adored pairs. Their chemistry struck a chord with audiences, leading to heightened curiosity about their bond off screen.
They reunited in Dear Comrade, further fuelling speculation. Frequent holidays at similar destinations, festive posts, and public appearances where they were seen cheering each other on only strengthened rumours of a relationship.
Though they have largely kept their personal lives private, reports indicate that the two got engaged at a low-key ceremony in Hyderabad in October last year. At the success celebration of Rashmika’s film The Girlfriend, Vijay was seen standing proudly by her side, and a viral clip showing him kissing her hand only intensified fan excitement.
Vijay Deverakonda shot to national fame with Arjun Reddy, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film established him as one of Telugu cinema’s most intense leading men. He followed it up with commercial hits like Geetha Govindam and later attempted a pan-India outing with Liger.
Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, has carved a successful path across Kannada, Telugu and Hindi cinema.
