Day after the Supreme Court dismissed the curative petitions of two convicts – Vinay Kumar Sharma and Mukesh Singh, Advocate Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel for Tihar Jail authorities said that "Execution of convicts(2012 Nirbhaya case) will surely not take place on January 22." https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1217359442376708096 He further stated that the fate of a death convict comes to finality only after his mercy plea is rejected by the President. Asha Devi, mother of Delhi gang rape and murder victim, said, "This is a big day for me. I had been struggling for the last 7 years.
