Extremely Heavy Rainfall Expected In PUNJAB This Weekend, Stay Indoors The India Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Extremely heavy’ rainfall alert for most of the places in Punjab from late 22nd to 24th September (Saturday to Monday), and have asked the citizens to take adequate corrective measures and to stay indoors as much as possible in these three days. Heavy rainfall (more than 7cm)with one or two spells of very heavy rainfall ( more than 12cm) very likely in districts Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahr, Roop Nagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Ferozpur, Faridkot, Sangrur, Mansa and adjoining area on 23 and 24th September 2018.
