Farmers gather for Sanyukta Kisan Morcha's 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' in Lucknow

Lucknow Kisan Mahapanchayat: Farmers started gathering at a site in Lucknow to attend a 'Kisan Mahapanchayat' organised by the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of farmers unions on Monday. Earlier, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait had announced that the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) will hold Kisan mahapanchayat in Lucknow on issues pertaining to the law on Minimum Support Price (MSP) guarantee, Lakhimpur Kheri incident and the non-payment of the dues to the sugarcane farmers among others.
