Film composer S Mohinder passes away at age of 94

S Mohinder Death: Film composer S Mohinder, the national awardee for best music director in the Punjabi blockbuster film Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai (1969), passed away following a heart attack at his Oshiwara residence in Mumbai. He was best remembered for the wistful melody, Guzra Hua Zamana Aata Nahi Dobara from the film — Shirin Farhad, 1956. S Mohinder would have turned 95 on Tuesday. In a Hindi tweet, the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar described Mohinder as “a very good music director and an extremely nice gentleman.” She wrote: "Aaj bahut acche sangeetkar S Mohinder Ji ka swargwas hua ye sunkar mujhe bahut dukh hua. Wo bahut shareef aur nek insan the.Ishwar unki aatma ko shaanti pradan karein." https://twitter.com/mangeshkarlata/status/1302607752087236608?s=20 Jasbir Singh, a fan of Mohinder’s music said that "Nanak Naam Jahaz Hai (1969) had several memorable devotionals sung by Mohd Rafi, Manna Dey, Asha Bhonsle, and others. He said that the touching compositions helped enormously in the film’s success.
