Former Muktsar MLA and SGPC member Sukhdarshan Singh Marar dies of coronavirus

Sukhdarshan Singh Marar Coronavirus Death: Former Muktsar MLA and SGPC member Sukhdarshan Singh Marar on Saturday died due to Covid-19 at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot.

According to the information, he was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday night.

Sukhdarshan Singh Marar Coronavirus Death: Former Muktsar MLA and SGPC member Sukhdarshan Singh Marar on Saturday died due to Covid-19.

The cremation would be held at Madahar Kalan village on Sunday. Soon after Sukhdarshan Singh Marar's death due to coronavirus.

Marar was a resident of Madahar Kalan village. He had joined the Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and PCC chief Sunil Jakhar in 2019.

Sukhdarshan Singh Marar Coronavirus Death: Former Muktsar MLA and SGPC member Sukhdarshan Singh Marar on Saturday died due to Covid-19.

In 2002, he was elected as an Independent MLA defeating former CM Harcharan Singh Brar of the Congress party. Later, he had joined the Congress.

Later in 2007, he contested Punjab election as SAD candidate from Muktsar. He lost to Kanwarjit Singh ‘Sunny’ Brar (son of Harcharan Singh Brar) of the Congress party.

In 2017, he contested Assembly election independently from Muktsar against Congress nominee Karan Kaur Brar (daughter-in-law of Harcharan Singh Brar), but both of them lost to SAD’s Kanwarjit Singh ‘Rozy Barkandi’.
