Former skipper Sourav Ganguly set to become new BCCI president

In a dramatic turn of events, former skipper Sourav Ganguly has emerged as a consensus candidate for the post of president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), even though Brijesh Patel appeared to have made it to the coveted post. Jay Shah, son of Union home minister Amit Shah, will be the new secretary and Arun Dhumal will be the new treasurer of BCCI. Dhumal is the younger brother of former BCCI president and current minister of state for finance, Anurag Thakur. Since none of the candidates have been opposed, no election will be held.
