Govt cuts down blacklist of Sikh foreign nationals from 312 to 2

The Government of India has removed the names of 312 Sikh foreign nationals involved in anti-India activities from its blacklist. This leaves only two persons in the list. The decision followed a review of the Central Adverse List or blacklist conducted by various security agencies. The Government of India has discontinued the blacklist maintained by various Indian Missions abroad on Sikh foreign nationals. “The government of India has brought down the adverse list of 314 foreign nationals from the Sikh community to just two”, a home ministry official said. These Sikh foreign nationals are now eligible for visa to India, paving the way for them to visit their families. After decades, they will finally be able to visit India, reunite with their families and reconnect with their roots.
