Shiromani Akali Dal's Gurbachan Singh Babbehali was a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, who represented Gurdaspur.
Gurbachan Singh was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 2007 from Gurdaspur and was re-elected in 2012. He unsuccessfully contested the Punjab Assembly elections 2022 and was polled 35,974 votes.
