Home Minister Amit Shah to be in Chandigarh to inaugurate projects
Chandigarh: Home Minister Amit Shah is all set to inaugurate four projects totaling Rs 500 crore at four different places in the city today.
According to the schedule, he would dedicate a new Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) office building.

This seven-story structure cost Rs60 crore to construct and has a covered area of around 1,38,000 sq ft. The minister will next proceed to Sector 17 to open the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at 11:35 a.m. after inaugurating the building.
Around 2,000 CCTV cameras have been put across the city as part of this project. For effective service monitoring and data analysis, this state-of-the-art command centre is integrated with major citizen services such as water, power, sewage, solid waste management, transportation, e-governance, and public-bike sharing.
Permission to convert leasehold to freehold commercial and industrial premises is one of these concerns. A Supreme Court-appointed commission led by the city MP recently recommended that the conversion be permitted.
"The summit will be attended by a total of 27 leaders. The meeting will be attended by six district presidents, the Mayor, the Senior Deputy Mayor, a few councillors, core group members, and senior officials, according to a party leader.

"We'll discuss long-standing concerns like CHB flats and the 2008 UT staff housing project with him." "Several organisations have handed us a memorandum to send to the Home Minister," a senior party official said.
