Hoshiarpur rape case: Minor girl raped by two youth near village, victim ends life
Hoshiarpur Dalit Rape Case: In a shocking incident, a minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The victim committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance.
The incident took place on Sunday while the angry relatives have denied performing the last rites of the girl until the arrest of the accused. The police later assured the family members of justice after which the girl was cremated late in the evening.

The accused have been identified as Lavpreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh.
According to the information, a 17-year-old Dalit girl from a village in district Hoshiarpur went to school with her friend on Sunday. Seeing her alone, two young men of the village, Lovepreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh forced her into their car.

The accused took her to the tubewell and raped her there. After this, both the accused were taking the girl to another place when the victim jumped from the car and started shouting. Afterward, the local took her to the nearby hospital. However, the girl committed suicide by consuming poison on Monday.
Likewise, the victim's family and villagers have pleaded for justice from the police.
The victim's family alleged that the accused belonged to an influential family, so the police was not arresting them. The village woman Panch said that they will get justice to the victim's family.
Police, on the Dalit rape case of Hoshiarpur, said that the police have registered a case under section 306, 365, 366-A 506, 34, 376 on the basis of the statement of the family members.
