IMD predicts weather for Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for coming days
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Wednesday issued a weather prediction for Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on November 27 and 29.
The IMD stated that "Under the influence of Western Disturbance over Afghanistan and neighbourhood, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall and snow and isolated hailstorms is likely over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on November 25."

Meanwhile, giving a weather prediction about Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, the Indian Meteorological Department said in a release that "Due to likely fall in minimum temperatures over northwest India, cold wave condition is expected to prevail at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh between November 27 and November 29."

On Tuesday, the minimum temperatures increased slightly and hovered above the normal limits in several places of Haryana and Punjab.
On the other hand, Chandigarh, on Tuesday, recorded a low of 12.3 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal limit for this part of the year, the Meteorological Department stated.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a minimum of 11 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, one notch above the normal while Karnal recorded a low of 10 degrees Celsius.
