In Chandigarh, fully vaccinated man dies of Covid; admin issues new guidelines for travellers
Mohali: A 45-year-old died of Covid-19 at the PGIMER, Chandigarh, on Monday. A resident of Sector 14, he was also suffering from chronic kidney disease and hypothyroidism.
Despite being fully vaccinated against Covid-19, he contracted the infection and had bene in hospital since November 21.

On the other hand, Chandigarh on Monday reported 14 fresh cases of Covid-19. On the other hand, the Chandigarh administration has decided that international travellers from specific countries at risk will be tested at the arrival airport and if tested negative, they will follow home quarantine for seven days. Retest will be conducted on the eight day of arrival in India.

Chandigarh has been witnessing a sharp rise in Covid-19 infections. On Sunday, the Tricity reported 28 fresh Covid infections, which is the highest in five months. On Saturday, it logged 26 Covid-19 cases.
