India names 15-man squad for ODI series against South Africa

India squad for South Africa series 2020: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday named a 15-man squad for the three-match ODI series against South Africa. The ODI series is scheduled to be played from March 12. Meanwhile, India has recalled all-rounder Hardik Pandya, opener Shikhar Dhawan (whom India has missed a lot during New Zealand tour) and fast bowler Bhubaneshwar Kumar. Virat Kohli will be leading the side for the South Africa series.

No place for Rohit Sharma

India's deputy skipper Rohit Sharma seems not ready for international cricket. Sharma sustained a calf injury during a T20I series in New Zealand earlier this year. Likewise, he missed ODI and the Test series. Rohit Sharma, also known as Hitman, will now be hoping back during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, starting from March 29.

Sunil Joshi's first task

It is the first task of the new selection panel led by Sunil Joshi. Joshi and Harvinder Singh have been added to the 5-member panel earlier this month by the Cricket Advisory Committee. Also Read | Australia thrashes Indian eves to lift Women T20 World Cup
