India vs New Zealand 1st ODI: Ross Taylor smashed a magnificent century to lead New Zealand to a 4-wicket win over India in the first of the three-match ODI series at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Wednesday. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first. While batting first, India scored 348-6. The debutants – Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal – opened the innings, and they scored 20 and 32 runs, respectively. Afterwards, Virat Kohli scored a half-century. However, Shreyas Iyer was the leading run-scorer for India as he went on to score his maiden ODI hundred. Iyer scored 103 runs off 107 balls including 11 boundaries and 1 six. Likewise, KL Rahul smashed 88 runs off just 64 balls that included 3 boundaries and 6 sixes. Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav played a cameo of 26 runs off 15 balls with 3 boundaries and 1 six. Chasing 348 runs, Kiwis openers Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls scored 32 and 78 runs, respectively. Tom Blundell (9) and New Zealand skipper Tom Latham (69) were dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav.
