Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jyotiraditya Scindia his mother Madhavi Raje have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. They have been admitted to the Max Smart Super Specialty Hospital in South Delhi, which is designated as COVID-19 facility. Jyotiraditya Scindia is a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections which is scheduled to be held on June 19. Meanwhile, Junion Union Minister for Commerce and industry, Som Prakash, said in a tweet: "Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia ji and his mother tested positive for #Covid_19. My prayers for the speedy recovery of both. @JM_Scindia @BJP4India." https://twitter.com/SomParkashBJP/status/1270305523326283777?s=20 Likewise, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that "I pray for the almighty for Scindia and his mother's fast recovery." However, he was discharged on Tuesday as he said that he will take some more time to fully recover.
