Sri Kartarpur Sahib is a holy shrine where the first Sikh guru Guru Nanak Dev Ji had spent the last 18 years of his life.

The gurdwara management in consultation with the Government of Pakistan and the country's Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has now decided to serve langar made by grains grown in Guru Nanak Dev Ji's fields.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji had spent over 18 years at Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan, cultivating there. The holy shrine is built over 100 acres in memory of the first Sikh Guru. Baba Nanak's farm is spread over 60 acres.
The Pakistan Government and the country's SGPC have decided to produce food grains in it. Reportedly, the field has orchards of wheat, maize, sunflower, and palms among the others.
Inderjit Singh, a member of Pakistan's SGPC, said following in the teachings of Guru Ji, the Pakistan Government had decided that it would sow grains in Baba Nanak's fields from which langar would be prepared.
