Key witness in kidney racket case commits suicide near Mumbai
A 27-year-old key witness in Mumbai kidney racket case committed suicide by hanging himself at his home, police told the media on Tuesday. The key witness identified as Sundarsingh Balvantsingh was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his home near Thane.

He was a key witness in the kidney racket case busted at a private hospital, two years ago. He was living in a locality for the last 18 months. Neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from his apartment, following which they alerted the police. The police then found the body on Tuesday evening in a highly decomposed form. As the body was in decomposing form, the time of death could not be verified immediately.

According to the media, Balvantsingh and his wife had a fight on January 1, after which his wife left home and went to her native place. Police has sent his body for post-mortem. A case of accidental death has been registered.
