Madhya Pradesh: Replicating Bhagat Singh hanging kills a boy

In a tragic accident, a school boy died while he was trying to re-enact the hanging of martyr Bhagat Singh. The deceased was a resident of Bholiya village in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. The boy has been identified as 12-year-old Priyansh Malviya. He was found hanging in a hut on his father's farm. It was on Thursday that news of the boy's death reached the villagers. Meanwhile, the parents of Priyansh told police that he was recently cast as a British soldier in a play for his school's annual event. A day after his play, he was trying to recreate the scene of Bhagat Singh's execution. However, he lost his balance and fell off the table that he was using for support. When the family members found him, the cot was laying near the boy's body along with a smartphone. The phone had a video of the play he had participated in the previous day. Meanwhile, the Mandsaur Superintendent of Police (SP) Hitesh Chaudhary stated that the boy's death was an accident. The autopsy also revealed suffocation as the cause of death, Chaudhary said. Meanwhile, Priyansh's body was handed over to his family for the last rites following the post-mortem examination. Priyansh is survived by his father and his mother. During this incident, the boy lost his control and failed to maintain balance. In result, he accidentally killed himself. The boy was identified as Aakash Gupta, a student of Class 9.
