Magnificent Nagar Kirtan marks first Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Granth Sahib
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, in association with various associations and societies, is organizing a massive Nagar Kirtan on the occasion of the first Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Opulent arrangements have been made and Gurmat Samagams will be organized in the evening.

The Sri Harmandir Sahib complex looks ethereal with devotees coming together to make elaborate floral decorations using flowers from Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, besides different states from India. According to SGPC spokesperson Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, the first Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is being organized with traditional pomp and fervour.

He said the large scale Nagar Kirtan which started at 7am today, passed through different markets in the city to culminate at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. Distinguished luminaries of the Sikh society, renowned Kirtan singers and Kathavachaks will participate in the Gurmat Samagam to be held from 7.30pm to 1am, he said.
