Man shot,robbed off Rs 20 lakh in Khanna
An employee of a trading company was shot at near Khanna and robbed of Rs 20 lakh on Wednesday night.
The victim Mehtab Singh was heading back to Mandi Gobindgarh, after withdrawing money from his account ,when two men on a motorcycle attacked him and shot at in his left leg . A few passerby took him to Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana where he is undergoing treatment.
The police has started checking footage of CCTV cameras around the scene of crime to identify the assailants.It has also registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the unidentified persons.
