The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced that the left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir will be joining the team in England. Mohammad Amir was initially pulled out of the tour as the dates of the T20Is supposedly clashed with the birth of his second child. He has been blessed with a second daughter last week. The cricket board also said that as per the request of the team management, it agreed to send Mohammad Imran, a masseur at the National High-Performance Centre, to England. Both of them (Amir and Imran) were tested for COVID-19 on Monday. They require two negative tests to be eligible to travel to England. If the report of the first tests returns negative, they will be moved to a bio-secure environment in Lahore. Then, both of them would be tested again on Wednesday. Once Amir will join the team, the reserve wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir will be released from the squad in England. The PCB also informed that the departure of Shoaib Malik has been delayed until the second week of August as India extended the ban on international flights until July 31.
